Recently Henan satellite TV’ s program “China Tour of Culture” emphatically reports “The Steles of Shaolin Temple Inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register”. The steles of Shaolin Temple (566-1990), the precious documentary heritage, has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, the UNESCO announced On April 17, 2025.
According to CCTV, on April 17, 2025, the Bianzhong of Marquis Yi of Zeng and the Steles of Shaolin Temple submitted by China, as well as as well as a joint submission with Sri Lanka: the Trilingual Inscription, have been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization announced on April 17. So far, China has 18 documentary heritage collections inscribed in the the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
On April 17, 2025, the UNESCO released the news bulletin, claiming that among mong the 74 newly added entries, China contributed two solo submissions - the Bianzhong of Marquis Yi of Zeng and the Steles of Shaolin Temple - as well as a joint submission with Sri Lanka: the Trilingual Inscription.
