On February 2, 2025 local time, UK Shaolin Xiu Culture Centre and British Medicine Buddha Foundation jointly Chinese New Year blessing activities to celebrate the Year of the Snake together with people from all levels of society and Kungfu enthusiasts. The event attracted around 500 people participating.

Guests present in the event included the Grand Monk Thich Nguyen Tu from the San Jose Dajue Temple in California, the Grand Monk Kassapa and the Grand Monk Arunasiri from the Birmingham Buddhist Lodge in UK, the Grand Monk Thich Quang That, abbot of the British Buddhist Medicine Foundation, monk Thich Nhuan Tu from Cambridge University, master Thich Nhuan Qua and master Thich Nhuan Chau from the British Buddhist Medicine Foundation as well as head Yanxiu of the UK Shaolin Xiu Culture Centre and so on.

The celebration is not only a cultural exchange event, but also a fine carrier that traditional Chinese culture, Shaolin culture and the Buddhist spirit of compassion spread abroad. Chanting, blessing and Kungfu performance make more locals deeply feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture and Shaolin culture. They also expect there would be more similar cultural exchange activities in the future, making traditional Chinese wisdom be passed on from generation to generation.
