Once there is a hardworking peasant. He goes to bed with the lamb and rises with the lark. One evening when collecting brushwood, he suddenly spots a golden arhat sculpture in the grass, and then he rushed home to show it to his family.

"Sell it and we need not worry about the food and clothing all our life", his wife was ecstatic. "The god is really fond of us good persons", the peasant said joyously. 

But he is depressed and wears a deep frown all the evening after he comes back. "What is it with you?" his wife asked concernedly.

"I'm wondering where the other seventeen arhats are. If we can find them, we will become rich at once."
