February 11, 2020 or the 30^th day of the twelfth lunar month is the traditional Chinese New Year’s Eve. To welcome the coming lunar new year, the Austrian Shaolin Cultural Center hosted the Chinese New Year prayer this day to bless for the country thriving and people living in peace and good weather for the crops. The dharma assembly was presided over by Shi Yanliang, head of the center.

Shi Yanliang said the COVID-19 epidemic is spreading around the world so far. Local areas in Austria are still in serious conditions. It was hoped that merits and virtues from the supreme dharma assembly could be transferred to sentient beings to pray for eliminating the outbreak and people gaining health and peace.
