On the night of September 27, 2023, the retirement fellowship for overseas Chinese in Austria and the Shaolin Cultural Center Austria jointly held the 2023 National Day and Mid Autumn Festival Gala for overseas Chinese in Austria in Vienna.

More than 300 audiences reached the site one after another at 7 o’ clock on the night. Dr. Qian Faqiang, president of the retirement fellowship for overseas Chinese in Austria and master Shi Yanliang gave their speeches on behalf of organizers and expressed their warm welcome and thanks to guests for their arrival.

Counselor Yu Feng represented the Chinese Embassy in Austria and ambassador Yuan Mei to give warm blessing words and also introduced what he saw when returning to our country during vacations. Ms Henrike BrandstÖtter, a member of Austria parliament, Mr. Ernst Nevriry, head of the 22nd district of Vienna, gave  their holiday wishes to Chinese and overseas Chinese in Austria. Meanwhile master Shi Yongxin, abbot of China Songshan Shaolin Temple, sent his wishes for everyone and also expressed his thanks to all walks of life for their support of the Shaolin Cultural Center Austria.

Party’ s programs were colorful including fan-dance with a strong ethnic style, poetry recitation, classical dancing, guzheng, Shaolin sword, grand Shaolin sword performance and so on. The entire audience of the scene sang “Bless Our Motherland” loudly in unison for blessing of our motherland, our national prosperity, and Happy National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival.

Shaolin Kungfu is endowed with Wisdom of Chan Buddhism. Mind of Chan influences Kungfu meanwhile Chan and Wu (martial arts) are as one. This realm or state is a healthy lifestyle. Since the Shaolin Cultural Center Austria’ s establishment of more than ten years, it is popular with locals in Austria and surrounding countries.
