January 14, 2023 or the 23rd of the 12th lunar month is China’ s traditional Little New Year. The Indonesia Shaolin Xiu Center was invited to attend the warm Spring Festival activities of Chinese and Indonesian youth held by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia. Ambassador Lu Kang of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia was present and delivered a speech. Around 200 people including young people on both sides of the Straits and young friends from China and Indonesia as well as young diplomats of the embassy happily gathered here.

During the event, the Indonesia Shaolin Xiu Center choreographed 15 programs and successively displayed routines of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system such as Shaolin thirteen boxing, Shaolin Spring and Autumn falchion, Shaolin spear, Shaolin swordsmanship, Shaolin Yin-hand cudgel, hard qigong, Shaolin Kungfu fan, Shaolin double hammers, Tai Chi and other wonderful performances.

All young people present expressed it was hoped to gather together, especially attending activities of the embassy because they always have less time together than apart since the outbreak. 

At the end of the performance, ambassador Lu Kang said to Shi Yanhao that he appreciated Shaolin culture an Shaolin Kungfu very much. He had been to visit Shaolin Temple in 2009 and especially admired profound and extensive Shaolin culture. These performances were also very colorful and it was hoped that the similar programs could be often seen in future and make Shaolin culture benefit locals.
