To celebrate the 73 anniversary of the founding of the People’ s Republic of China, China Songshan Shaolin Temple organized all monks to gather in front of the gateway of Shaolin Temple and host the solemn national-flag-raising ceremony on Oct. 1, 2022.

Abbot Shi Yongxin of Shaolin Temple claimed the official start of the national-flag-raising ceremony at 6:30 am. People on the scene were solemn. Shaolin Temple’ s flag guard proceeded with steps in union, escorting the flag to the flagpole’ s front. With the majestic national anthem, all Shaolin monks saluted with eyes, watching the Five-Starred Red Flag raise up slowly. Best wishes and blessings to our country and pray for her prosperity, social harmony, good weather for the crops and security of the country and people.
