The ceremony of incense offering and water purification for the Water and Land Dharma Function in Shaolin Temple was held at the Thousand Buddha Hall (the great shrine) under the premise of prevention and control of the outbreak at 3 pm of Sept. 17, 2022.

All vegetarian hosts invited Master Yongqian, Master Yongfu, Master Yankang, Master Yansi and Master Yantang conducted incense offering and water purification. Under the guidance of masters, all vegetarian hosts held incense in hands walking through main halls to bow in repentance. Then the virtual karma was transferred to peace and prosperity of the country and people and good weather for the crops. The whole dharma ceremony took half two hours. 

All masters of the temple’ s departments gathered at the Dining Hall, chanting the Diamond Sutra at 6:30 pm.
