The Hungary Shaolin Cultural Center Supplies Humanitarian Aid Materials to Ukrainian Refugees Entering Hungary
The Russia-Ukraine war has been the 13th day until March 8, 2022. Both sides at war still have no ceasefire sign and their negotiation also has no substantive results. The war is cruel. Numerous Ukrainian refugees become destitute and homeless and flee to neighbouring countries. The number of refugees entering Hungary have been up to more than one hundred thousand merely. Because of aged 18 to 60 men stopped from leaving Ukraine, most refugees entering the Hungary are women and children. It’ s cold now and night temperature can drop to several degrees below zero. Refugees take only few clothes with poor conditions.
To carry forward the spirit of infinite mercy and universal compassion in Buddhism, Shi Yanguan of the Hungary Shaolin Cultural Center, together with the Central and Eastern Europe Economic and Trade and Cultural Exchange Association, bought bath towels, blankets, bottled waters, crackers, noodles, bathroom tissue, toothpastes and toothbrushes, fruits, chocolates and other materials which were sent to rescue centers to help refugees from Ukraine.
Facing the dual test and challenge of the war and outbreak, refugees’ situation is nearly adding insult to injury. The Hungary Shaolin Cultural Center and the Central and Eastern Europe Economic and Trade and Cultural Exchange Association hoped to be able to make their humble effort for Ukrainian refugees through this action.
This war truly makes us feel the precious peace. It is hoped that the war will end soon and peace can come to the world again!
