The Celebration of the 3rd Anniversary of the Founding of the Shaolin Temple of Canada

Shaolin Temple of Canada grandly hosted the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of its founding at 11 am on September 19, 2021 local time. During the COVID- 19 epidemic, the sponsor conducted the event in the method of the appointment, around more than 60 guests and believers attending the celebration. The cultural center donated 2, 000 Canadian dollars received during the event to the old people’ s home.



Master Yandi, head of the Shaolin Temple of Canada, guided guests and believers to recite, offer incense and pay worship for Buddha at the ceremony. Then master Yandi looked back on the Shaolin Temple of Canada’ s development history of 3 years. He mentioned Shaolin culture is an important part of traditional Chinese culture, and stilll needs to make joint efforts of people from all levels of society to further carry forward and propagate Shaolin culture.

Wang Xiangdong, vice chairman of the Henan Association in Canada, delivered a speech that he has been a volunteer of the cultural center for three years, and has seen master Yandi make his way among different ethnics and communities with his own eyes to help or support various charity activities. Meanwhile he has witnessed all people’ s benevolence and acts of kindness contributed to Shaolin culture. The propagation of Shaolin culture is altruistic behavior. He called on more good-hearted people to join the ranks of propagating traditional Chinese culture.

Honorary chairman Chu Yuanzheng of the Canadian Alliance of Chinese Association said the propagation of Chinese culture is what we should do and have to do. Everyone should contribute his or her efforts when Chinese culture go global.

President Wang Dianqi of the Chinese Cultural Harmony and Unity of Canada said in a speech, “Loyalty and filial piety without borders, we thank Shaolin Temple’ s abbot Shi Yongxin and master Yandi make Shaolin culture and excellent traditional Chinese culture spread to Vancouver in Canada. We will continue supporting the Shaolin cultural center becoming better and better in the future.

Executive vice chairman Xue Xiaomei of the Canadian Alliance of Chinese Association said in her speech, “I am honored to join the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the founding of the Shaolin Temple of Canada. I’m very thankful that Shaolin Temple and Shaolin culture can go abroad to make overseas people be able to feel and experience, learn and know about Shaolin culture. I also thank master Yandi can stick to propagating Shaolin spirit in the severe situation of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Honorary president Zhang Maowei of the Chinese Cultural Harmony and Unity Society of Canada said, “I’ m glad to be invited to attend the celebration activities. I have gained some understanding about Buddhist culture at home and it is the first time for me to join such grand blessing assembly abroad today.”

Secretary general Yang Lin of the Henan-Canada Friendship Association said Shaolin Temple comes from Henna province.all people from Henna are relatives of the friendship association. Henan-Canada Friendship Association will continually support Shaolin cultural center like families.”

President Jack Xu of the Baizhou Blockchain Group and the Baizhou Data Technology Co., Ltd. Said, “As a lay Buddhist, the outbreak makes me own much more time to visualise himself, and also makes master Yandi do good works, rescue and help people where he goes.”

Vice president Wu Yunjuan of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society in Vancouver said she was very honored to be invited to join the celebration today. She came here with the position of studying Shaolin culture, learning from master Yandi and other people of great virtues.

The present overseas Chinese leaders in the event also included: president Zhong Nenghui of the Multi-culture Promotion Society in Canada, president Ma Hai of the Guangxi Chamber of Commence in Canada, Jafanda Air Corporation President Angela and so on.

At 3 pm, the group guided by master Yandi came to Chinatown and donated 2000 Canadian dollars raised in the blessing assembly in the morning to an old people’ s home.
