A disciple asked Master Congshen, “Buddha is the enlightened one and the general public’s spiritual master. Buddha shall have no vexation, is that right?”

 

"How could it be?” Master answered, “Buddha also has vexations. The biggest is universal salvation.”

 

The disciple said, “It’s impossible to eliminate the vexations of all living creatures. Will Buddha’s vexation be endless?”

 

Master said, “Yet the enlightened one has detached from vexations.”

 

The disciple couldn’t understand and asked, “Not all living creatures have enlightened, how could Buddha get rid of vexations?”

 

Master smiled and said, “Buddha has enlightened all the living creatures which have Buddha Nature.”
