Buddhism claims that there were people who attained Buddhahood in the past, and there will be people to become Buddhas in the future. It is possible for everybody to achieve enlightenment. Therefore, “All living beings have the Buddha-nature, everyone with the Buddha-nature may attain Buddhahood.”
