(6) In retrospect what we can learn from the history lasting over one and a half millennia of Shaolin Buddhist Monastery is the indestructible doctrinal vitality and the creativity originating from unalterable faith in the tenets of the Buddhist Chan Order. I believe the sangha of the monastery is not likely to be accepted by its secular followers unless it is able to skillfully make use of the positive elements inherent in Chinese Buddhism.
