The union of ideal and reality is difficult. As a Buddhist disciple, we also hope to be able to live in the caves or put up a shed, practicing in the tranquil woods. If so, the inheritance of Buddhism would be hard. Buddhism can’t communicate with and serve the society that may be farther and farther away from us, which is not of all dynasties of founders’ wishes, too. Hence, it is hoped to be able to carry forward Buddhist culture and make more people participate in the construction of Buddhism through modern business ideas. (From Words of Chan by Shi Yongxin)
