To deeply discuss about the new pattern of traditional Chinese sports culture in global communication and the innovation path in cross-cultural communication and social practice, the Chinese Sociological Association Committee for Sociology of Sports will hold the 2024 academical annual conference in Dengfeng, Henan province from Oct 18 to 20. The theme of the annual conference is the “Chinese Culture Promotion in a Global View: Experiences and Enlightenment on Shaolin Culture”.

The meeting will be co-hosted by the Chinese Sociological Association committee for sociology of sports and China Songshan Shaolin Temple, and undertaken by the sport scientific school of the South China Normal University, the key social sciences research base of the General Administration of Sport of China, and humanities and social sciences key research bases of colleges and universities in Guangdong province. On the occasion, famous domestic industry experts and scholars will give their key-note speeches and discussions. We sincerely invite you to the Songshan Mountain to share views on Chinese culture’ s contribution to the international spread and on promoting effect of traditional Chinese sports culture globalization progressing.

In addition to member units of the special committee, welcome to all academic individuals and talented youngsters taking part in the discussion on the annual theme. Due to the limited availability of the conference, we will choose works in the form of an essay. Except for guests, all participants have to pay 600 RMB for conference fees (at the conference reception desk that day).

Submission requirements,

First, academic paper requirements. The applicant has to surrounding conference topic and submit his or her unpublished academic paper with no less than 6, 000 words. The paper should find original research topic, hold clear views, have concise language and accurate materials. For the paper’ s format, please see the Study of Sociology.

Second, the way of submission. Interested persons could send the Word version of the full paper and the receipt of participating the meeting (scanning QR codes to get) to the conference’ s mailbox as an attachment: 2024021133@m.scnu.edu.cn. Subject headers of Emails and documents could be marked by the name “Annual essay+ title+ name+ unit” and also write down your contact information.

Third, paper review and notice. All submitted papers have to be reviewed. The applicant whose paper has passed the examination could get qualification for attending meeting. The final decisions of all papers will be informed to participants before Oct 10, 2024.
