A stage play of "SUTRA" has been performed by Shaolin monks in Switzerland, attracting many audience to appreciate traditional Chinese martial arts. "SUTRA" is a collaboration between Shaolin monks and Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. The show has toured hundreds of cities around the world since its premiere in 2008.

"I always felt the inspiration of the temple stayed with me," Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui said. "I was so happy to be able to work together with what I knew of choreography and what they knew of martial arts and of Kung Fu and see how we could bring it together."
