On June 4, 2024, the Dragon Rhythm Shaolin Kungfu school’ s principal Yuan Long and 44 American Shaolin disciples, and the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center of Arizona’ s principal Yanqing and his 66 American Shaolin disciples, gathered together to make their pilgrimage to Shaolin Temple, the ancestral monastery of Chan sect.

In front of the Abbot Hall, all overseas Shaolin disciples followed traditional Buddhist rites to pay respects for the Grand Monk Shi Yongxin and show what they themselves had learned. Abbot Yongxin welcomed overseas disciples’ worship, and hoped they were back to Shaolin Temple to deeply experience the unity of Chan and Wu for Shaolin culture, feeling profound cultural implication of the ancient monastery of Chan sect.

Then the Dragon Rhythm Shaolin Kungfu school and the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center of Arizona will separately visit Beijing, Xi’ an, Luoyang and other places, fully enjoying a trip to rivers and mountains of the motherland and feeling traditional Chinese culture’ s charm. Strongly supported and concerned by the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco, the Dragon Rhythm Shaolin Kungfu school would go to Beijing’ s college and primary school for cultural exchanges, carrying forward Shaolin culture and enhancing the friendship between China and America.
