January 14, 2023 or the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month is traditional festival of worshiping the kitchen god, also called Little New Year. Meanwhile this day is also Shaolin Temple’ s protector--Kinara Bodhisattva’ s birthday. Shaolin monks gathered at the Kinara Hall and solemnly held sacrifice-offering dharma assembly to mark Kinara’ s birthday.

Master Yankang, manager of Shaolin Temple, presided over the assembly and guided people to the Kinara Hall and the Dinning Hall of Shaolin Temple to devoutly pray. The dharma assembly was conducted, orderly and solemnly. The merits and virtues were transferred for world peace, security of the country and people, good weather for the crops and release from the outbreak early.

Today the mural of Kinara driving back red scarf army can still bel seen at the Baiyi Hall in Shaolin Temple. There are also Kinara cudgel and Kinara military strategy and tactics about Shaolin Kungfu handed down from ancient times.
