November 2, 2012 (September 19, 2012 of the lunar calendar) was Arya Avalokiteshvara’s birthday. In that day, Australian Shaolin Cultural Center held Dharma assembly for Arya Avalokiteshvara’s birthday. Master Yankuo of the Center led Buddhism devotees to chant The Great Compassion Confession and prayed for world peace and human happiness through devout heart and the efforts of all beings.

During the Dharma assembly, Australian Shaolin Cultural Center also held the joint performance for Shaolin Kungfu promotion, calligraphy competition and other activities in order to enhance mutual understanding, make common progress and common improvement. There were not only the adults that took part in the joint performance but also some little Shaolin disciples. After the joint performance, the masters of the Center led everyone to practice Chan meditation and showed wonderful Shaolin Kungfu.
