Shi Yanhui explained the implications of Kungfu to the reporter: Kungfu is an important part of traditional Chinese culture and the practitioners need to get refined internally and externally. The “External” means keeping fit and self-defense while the “Internal” means strengthening people’ s will to make them brave and strong. Getting refined internally and externally can improve spirit and wisdom, and then devote ourselves to work and study better. Kungfu study is mainly to study martial virtues, know self-discipline, dare to uphold justice, and help those in distress and aid those in peril.

The interview created a precedent that Shaolin Kungfu joined Italian live news for the first time.

After the interview, Shi Yanhui said abbot Shi Yongxin of Shaolin Temple pays much attention to the spread of Shaolin Kungfu in Italy. He gave dharma teachings, hoping that Shaolin culture could bring more benefits to local people. Shi Yanhui also mentioned that it is glad to propagate Shaolin culture in Italy and shall continue devoting himself to cultural exchanges between China and Italy.
