People took a group photo in front of the Damo Cave in Shaolin Temple on the afternoon of August 20, 2014, which marked the end of visit and exchange of the international Chan cultivation class from Peking University in Shaolin Temple.

After report to the Chuipu Hall, the students of the international Chan cultivation class from Peking University visited the Shaolin Temple permanent residence compound and knew about Shaolin Temple’ s history, Buddhist rites and others guided by headteachers Zhang Yuqing and Wang Fengli and explained by master yanhong.

Associate dean Zhao Xiaozhe of the institute of private economy from Peking University delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of Chan inquiries. He congratulated on the success of Shaolin Chan inquires and also presented the Chan inquiry pot funded by the international Chan cultivation class of Peking University to master Yuanpu, first-prize winner.

The students of the international Chan cultivation class from Peking University watched the wonderful Shaolin Kungfu performance after the closing ceremony at 4: 30 on the afternoon of August 18. The students also attended the Chan Tea party of Chan inquires and experienced the supreme charm of Chan tea culture of Shaolin Temple, the ancestral of Chan sect at 7: 00 pm.

Abbot Shi Yongxin got to the Chan cultivation camp communicating with everyone and talking about the world martial arts competition and others on the morning of August 20. After listening to his words, the students admired abbot Yongxin’ s forethought and also hoped to do their bit for the event.

The international Chan cultivation class of Perking University retraced Damo’ s route and took a photo in front of the Damo Cave, sharing dharma joys and Buddhist benefits together under the guidance of Shaolin Temple’ s master on the afternoon of August 20.
