To celebrate the birthday of Buddha 2022, the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA hosted a series of activities, and the one-day compassion Chan activities in the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center Chinatown LA on May 7, 2012.

The one-day Chan activities were guided by master Kaizhao from Malaysia. During the event, master Kaizhao shared his feelings and experiences of carrying forward Buddhist dharma in jails and also encouraged people to enter jails to do caring work of Buddhist dharma, practicing Buddhist doctrines, sharing Buddhist wisdom and benefit or mollify prisoners’ restless mind.

It is said that the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA will establish a volunteer team and take the caring work of Buddhist dharma in jails as one of Shaolin culture’ s important contents of communication in America. They will enter local colleges or universities and communities in America, implement activities about caring for vulnerable groups and so on, to win the popular identity and profound understanding in America about Shaolin culture.
