The Abbot's Room is the place in which the abbot of the temple lives and deals with daily affairs. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty and renovated in the following dynasties. The current structure was the relics of Qing Dynasty. In the 15th year of Qing Dynasty (1750), Emperor Qianlong traveled the temple and stayed in the hall, hence the name Dragon Palace. In the center of the hall is placed a bloodstone carving of Buddha Preaching Doctrines, donated by a Buddhism believer at the 1500th temple anniversary in 1995. On the north wall is the Dharma lineage of Shaolin Temple.
