Shaolin Kungfu Center Rancho Cucamonga, California Attends Independence Day Parade

The Fourth of July is the US Independence Day. On Dependence Day, the US held grand celebrations and march movements including artistic performances, sports competition, putting gun salute, ringing the bell, etc. On July 4, 2019, Shaolin Kungfu Center Rancho Cucamonga, California, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center Chino Hills, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center Walnut, and Shaolin Cultural Center, Temple City, California, constituting five teams, participated in the parade movements of US Independence Day, demonstrating wonderful Shaolin Kungfu for local people.

Shi Yanyi, head of Shaolin Kungfu Center Rancho Cucamonga, California, said that Shaolin culture has been integrated into the local community and school sports after years of spread and promotion; local people could grow on cognition of Shaolin culture through Shaolin Kungfu performance during local events and activities. This is also the fourth time Shaolin Kungfu Center Rancho Cucamonga, California attended the national day parade of San Bernardino county, Ontario. The cast of performances was huge including more than one hundred students and coaches.

During the grand parades, students from Shaolin cultural centers showcased Eighteen Weapons of Shaolin, Shaolin boxing, etc. Receiving cheers and praise from audience. When seeing students come out, audience began shouting: Shaolin, Shaolin, best!

After the Shaolin Kungfu performance, many viewers expressed that it was hoped to have opportunities to visit China Songshan Shaolin Temple, study there and get a dharma teaching from Venerable Yongxin. (Edited by Zou Xiang and photographed by Shi Yanyi)
