On August 22, 2018, to celebrate the farewell party that three children of the Shaolin Charity House have been admitted to their ideal universities, Abbot Yongxin went to the charity house attending their farewell party early in the morning. Deputy director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Dengfeng Wang Haizhen, section chief of the affairs division Zhao Hongchuang, director of Linying County General Charity Association Guo Hanying, director of the civil affairs of the Shaolin office Li Jie, deputy president of the Henan Charity General Federation Sheng Guomin, deputy secretary-general Yao Linan, director Li Yuanchun and others attended the farewell party. The farewell party was presided over by Bai Jinying, president of the Shaolin Charity House.

The three students, Zhang Minghui, Zhang Yu and Wang Shuting, have studied in the Shaolin Charity House. They have been respectively admitted to the China University of Mining and Technology, Henan University of Chinese Medicine and Zhengzhou University. At the party, Master Shi Yongxin and others wore the large red flowers for them when they collectively mounted the platform. Then they took the floor in turn and spoke for themselves since forming ties with the charity house and Master Yongxin.

They said that they were very lonely when they first arrived. But this big family accepted us soon making us engage with it. There were companions to study and play together. There were also teachers to care and teach us, which makes us feel very unforgettable. The most memorable is Master Yongxin. We visited the Shaolin Temple each year. He was like a father asking how we were, what was missing and what we needed. We, a group of children, chattered around the master. We are still cherishing the memories. We are lucky to meet Master Yongxin and the charity house. They gave us a stable and good learning environment, which could make us avoid detours and dropping out. A favor the size of a drop of water should be repaid with one of the mount of a surging spring. The warmth and support make us work hard and entered the ideal universities. We are thankful to the Shaolin Temple, Master Yongxin and the charity house. We will always remember the good deeds from you and return the favor hereafter.

The original children have grown up, being sensible. They could be admitted to the ideal universities and still remember Master Yongxin and the charity house’s kindness. Their speeches deeply moved the audience and guests on scene. Henan Charity General Federation donated 15000 yuan to recognize the excellent students for encouragement.

Deputy-president of the Henan Charity General Federation Sheng Guomin said that Abbot Yongxin has helped many children with difficulties of entering schools and offered them a good learning environment and experienced teachers. These children gradually grow up in this warm big family and learn to honor the teacher and respect the teaching, getting along with others.

At last, Abbot Yongxin said the Shaolin Charity House has helped many children with bumpy lives. They grow up little by little and enter a higher school year by year. Three more students were admitted to the ideal universities this year. The charity house gave them a lot. It is the most important that they proves themselves. We are glad for their great performance and hope that they could learn more in the university to contribute to the country and society later. It is hoped that students who has not attended the national university entrance exam could study hard and be able to enter your own ideal university.

Then some students were on the stage to give their performances, with best wishes for the farewell party. In the end, Abbot Yongxin cut a cake for children and wished them for study progress and health body. The students also sent pieces of cake to master Yongxin and leaders. The scene was warm while everyone was delighted.

Though children who entered the Shaolin Charity House have bumpy life, masters from the Shaolin Temple hold up one day and make them get the selfless dedication and concern of people from all walks of life.
