On Nov. 23, 2023 local time, the Grand Monk Shi Yongxin and the delegation of Shaolin culture arrived in the Shaolin Quanfa Italy in Rome for the unveiling ceremony and consecration rite. The group received a warm welcome from local believers and people. There were a total of 200 people attending the activities.

The Grand Monk Shi Yongxin, together with other monks, held the consecration ceremony. With the sound of Buddhist chants, lay Buddhists also crossed their hands chanting. The atmosphere of the site were solemn and holy, shocking people’ s heart. The Grand Monk conducted the consecration ceremony and also blessed sentient beings for their happiness.

Mr. Giovanni Malagò, president of the Italian Olympic Committee, sent his blessing video for the opening ceremony of the Shaolin Quanfa Italy. He expressed his greeting to the Grand Monk Shi Yongxin, congratulations to the Shaolin Quanfa Italy about the ceremony, and also said: the unveiling of the Shaolin Quanfa Italy is a mark to promote friendship between two countries’ sports and cultrue.

He explained Shaolin Temple’ s historical origin and present development, affirmed the work that Shi Yanhui has done in Italy, and also expressed his gratitude to everyone. At last, the Grand Monk Shi Yongxin hoped people could support the Shaolin Quanfa Italy a lot, love Shaolin culture and make healthy Shaolin lifestyle and concept benefit more locals.
