To further carry forward and promote Shaolin culture and make Shaolin Chan (meditation) Wu (martial arts) Yi(medical) culture benefit more locals, the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA would host the Shaolin Cultural Week 2023 program. Time: May 23 to 28, 2023.

Specific arrangements are as follows.

Activity 1: the visiting mission of Shaolin monks would be received in the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA, and a tea party would be hosted to explain Shaolin culture to local communities on May 23.

Activity 2: Shaolin Kungfu speeches would be open invited by Shaolin culture lovers from Los Angeles on May 24 when masters from Shaolin Temple would teach Shaolin Kungfu and explain Shaolin culture to attendees.

Activity 3: the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system would be conducted on May 25 when all teachers and coaches or masters from martial arts schools in Los Angeles would receive training courses of the Shaolin Kungfu Duanpin system.

Activity 4: the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA would host celebrations for the birthday of Buddha on May 26 or the 8th day of the fourth lunar month when it is Sakyamuni’ s birthday.

Activity 5: the United Kungfu tournament would be held by the United Kungfu Fedration on Saturday, May 27. This is first held after the outbreak.

Activity 6: Shaolin Cultural Day exhibition would be conducted on May 28 to actively promote the spread of traditional Chinese culture and Shaolin culture in the world.

The Shaolin Cultural Week event would be jointly held by the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center USA, United Kungfu Fedration, Bowes Museum and Sino-US Performing Arts Organization. The content includes performances, exhibitions, speeches, free clinic, interactions, experience and others which would comprehensively display Shaolin culture of Chan (meditation), Yi (skills), Wu (martial arts), Yi (medical).
